Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 21, 2026
Best Tort Lawyers ("BTL," "we," "us") is a free legal-matching service that helps people find law firms actually taking claims like theirs. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the promises we make about it. It applies to besttortlawyers.com, our advertising forms (including Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok lead forms), and conversations with Sofia, our artificial-intelligence assistant, by phone or text.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- No law firm receives your information unless you confirm — with Sofia on a call, or by replying to a message — that you want that firm to contact you.
- You choose who contacts you. We show you the way; you make the call.
- One follow-up path, no spam. Once we've connected, we only follow up about your inquiry.
1. Information we collect
- Information you give us: name, phone number, email, state/ZIP, and the details of your potential claim that you enter in a form or share with Sofia on a call or by text.
- Call and text records: conversations with Sofia may be recorded and transcribed for quality, compliance, and follow-up. Sofia always identifies herself as an A.I.
- Technical information: device type, browser, pages visited, and advertising identifiers (such as campaign, ad, and click IDs) collected through cookies and similar technologies so we know which of our ads brought you here.
2. How we use your information
- To review your inquiry and identify the type of claim and the firms taking claims like yours.
- To contact you about your inquiry by phone call and SMS text message — including via Sofia, an A.I. voice assistant, using automated technology — where you have consented.
- To connect you with a law firm only after you confirm you want that firm to contact you.
- To measure and improve our advertising and service, and to keep records required for legal compliance.
3. Text messaging (SMS) — our carrier commitments
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use-case categories exclude text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with, or sold to, any third parties.
We share your inquiry with a law firm only after you individually confirm you want that firm to contact you. Message frequency varies (typically 1–3 messages per inquiry). Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help.
Text messaging is optional and separate from your case review request. You receive texts only if you actively check the SMS consent box on our opt-in form, which is unchecked by default. Full program details — frequency, rates, keywords, and supported carriers — are in our SMS Terms & Messaging Policy.
4. When we share information — and when we never do
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:
- With the law firm you choose — and only after you confirm with Sofia (or by reply) that you want that specific firm to receive your information and contact you.
- With service providers who help us operate (for example telephone, texting, hosting, and analytics subcontractors). They may use your information only to provide services to us.
- When the law requires it — to comply with a legal obligation, court order, or to protect rights and safety.
If no firm in our network takes claims like yours, we tell you what type of firm to look for — and your information still goes nowhere without your confirmation.
5. Your consent and how to withdraw it
By submitting a form, you agree we may contact you about your inquiry by call and text (including via an A.I. voice assistant and automated technology) at the number you provided. Consent is not a condition of purchase. You can withdraw consent at any time:
- Reply STOP to any text message — you'll get one confirmation and nothing further.
- Tell Sofia "stop" or "do not contact me" on any call.
- Email sofia@besttortlawyers.com with "unsubscribe."
6. Data retention and security
We keep inquiry records, consent records, and call recordings as long as needed for the purposes above and for legal-compliance recordkeeping, then delete or de-identify them. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards; no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
7. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing sofia@besttortlawyers.com. We honor applicable state privacy rights, including those of California residents (access, deletion, correction, and the right to opt out of sale/sharing — noting we do not sell personal information). We do not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
8. Children
Our services are for adults 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18; if you believe a child provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above always reflects the current version; material changes will be posted on this page.
